Something that has personally inspires me is a quote by Confucius - " Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall". I believe, that as humans, our job is not to be perfect or fulfil world's expectations but it is to keep striving for what's best for us in the here & now. Nobody can be a better judge for what's best for us, than us. At the end of the day, we're all unique and different. It is okay to feel sad, lost, broken but it is also okay to look for empathy, respect and compassion that those around us may not be able to offer us in a safe place.
Therapy approach
I believe that nobody can understand what you went through, better than you. And I also believe that you are an expert in deciding what's best for you in your life. Hence, my approach to therapy is client- centred. What this essentially means is that I believe in empathy- understanding your world from your lens and unconditional positive regard- offering you support in all circumstances.
My role as your Therapist
My role as your therapist is to actively listen and not just hear. To provide you a safe space where you do not feel judged or pressured, a place where you can be yourself and express freely. To offer you empathy and help you achieve clarity so that you are confident in doing what's best for you. My role is to assist you to be the expert of your own life and maintain a state of mental well-being. Finally, my role is to assist you in achieving your life goals and true potential by helping you become self-aware.
