Do what makes you feel good!

This is my story, my thoughts. As I sit to write this, I think of the time it all started. Well, before I get into the main part, I would introduce you to something that makes me feel good – Mandala. Yes, the mandala has become trending now. And it is really worth a try.

2 years ago, when a lot of overthinking and stress surrounded me, I randomly happened to scribble things down. And then, one day, I decided to do a mandala when I felt low. And that’s how the journey started. The first time I created a mandala was in installments, but soon, I fell in love with the art. It gave me peace, motivation, creativity, and life. And then the pandemic hit our country.

Staying home without doing anything was a task. So much tension about- if exams would happen or no, should we study or no, was on my mind. And then, one day, I revisited my mandala. I finally started creating one. Slowly and slowly, I filled pages with mandala art. It felt so good. It became my hobby. I would think of so many new variations that I could put into it.

Mandala is a therapeutic art, and indeed, it does to us what anything that makes us feel good does. It gives relief. I would randomly do the art. But it helped me spend my time, do something productive, clear my thoughts, regulate my anger, regulate my emotions, and sometimes help me gain insight. I still love doing mandalas, and it’s almost a hobby for me now. I have tried dot mandala recently, and it feels so good to do that.

The message over here that I would like to give the readers reading this is, it is essential to remove some time for yourself each day. Do what makes you feel good, what helps you meet yourself. Do what makes you feel that? Yes, this is me! I am in this. It may be a hobby or could be something that you have an interest in. Do something that takes you away from the social world and takes you close to yourself.

Half an hour of investment into yourself daily can boost a major part of you, and I can say it for sure. It can help you gain so much insight, peace, and happiness. For me, the mandala does that. There are many other things as well that I love doing.

It is essential to have something that you can always go back to when you feel low. Something that has the ability to light up your mood. Something that could help you. Self-care is the key. And this something could be your way to care for yourself.

So, in the end, I would want you to think mindfully. What makes you happy? What is it that you can keep doing and not get bored of? What kind of self-care can you indulge yourself in? What gives you peace when you feel low?

Ponder. I am sure you will find answers. And I hope you get the strength to follow it.

Do what you love! Do what makes you feel good!

Lots of love and strength to the readers!
